PERSONAL STATEMENT

Tricia is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and Missouri. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Central Missouri University, her Master of Science in Special Education from University of Kansas, and her Masters of Arts in Counseling from University of Missouri – Kansas City. Tricia has completed additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and is a member of the DBT Treatment Team at New Perspective Counseling Services.

Tricia believes that we achieve our life goals by focusing on our strengths, challenging negative core beliefs, and practicing mindfulness. She uses a variety of interventions to help her clients reach their goals including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Trauma Focused Therapies. She provides counseling services to individuals over the age of 18 and has expertise in several areas including addiction, mood disorders, personality disorders, complex trauma, and life transitions.
