Melissa grew up in the DFW metroplex and currently calls Fort Worth home. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and then spent the next 10 years serving the community of Fort Worth as an ER nurse.
Realizing how rewarding it was to care for kids, she pursued her Masters of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). After graduation she found herself back at the local children’s hospital working in Palliative Medicine, caring for patients and families living with uncertainty and complex special healthcare needs. Although standing in such sacred space with these families had a profound impact on her, she is excited to now call Natural Choice Pediatrics home and has a special love for integrative healthcare!
Melissa is happily married to her high school sweetheart, Mark, and lives in Fort Worth along with their two teenage daughters and surprise baby boy! As a family, they love the beach and the mountains equally and used to escape there every chance they got although these days you are more likely to find them on or near the volleyball court as proud parents!

Melissa has also been voted as one of the Best Pediatric NP’s by DFW Moms.
