PERSONAL STATEMENT

Dr. Stephens is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and a Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. Dr. Stephens received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, her Master of Science in Counseling, and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Texas A&M University Commerce. Additionally, Dr. Stephens has extensive training in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

Dr. Stephens believes in meeting clients where they are and finding the treatment modality that best meets their needs. Providing services to individuals ages 3 and up, Dr. Stephens specializes in anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, complex trauma, PTSD, and child development.

Dr. Stephens serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Counseling at Texas A&M University – Commerce and is also an active member of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA) and the Association for Play Therapy (APT).
